Creative Director Mongtzu Kyo

Born and raised in Taipei, Mongtzu Kyo has lived in Tokyo, London, and New York, and is currently based in Kyoto. She previously worked at the art foundation of Taiwan’s major financial institution, Fubon Bank, where she was involved in Very Fun Park, a project aimed at creating a “museum without walls.” She also directed cultural events such as Fubon Lecture Hall and worked on editorial planning for the foundation’s publications.

Her encounter with design thinking led her on a journey of learning. She pursued design research as a research fellow at Keio University Graduate School and iU (Professional University of Information and Management for Innovation) before joining Loftwork in 2021. Since then, she has contributed to numerous cross-border projects.

Her hobby is diving—despite struggling with swimming breath control, she can dive as deep as 30 meters.
