MTRL KYOTO Manager Kousuke Kinoshita

After graduating from the Department of Social Welfare Studies at Kyoto Prefectural University, he worked as a manager at the café “neutron” and the art gallery “neutron tokyo,” and later as a planner at IID Setagaya Monozukuri School, a creative facility repurposed from a former school building. He joined Loftwork in 2015.

From the early stages, he has been involved in MTRL, which supports co-creation and innovation for manufacturing companies through a material-driven approach, and in launching FabCafe Kyoto, a community hub that brings together creators, researchers, and companies around the themes of technology and creativity.

Through workshop facilitation, talk session moderation, and exhibition production, he actively works to create spaces where “chemical reactions” can happen between people and ideas, and to design contexts that connect diverse disciplines.

He is a certified social worker, and since 2023, has served as a part-time lecturer at Kyoto Seika University, Faculty of Media Creation.
