Co-founder Chiaki Hayashi

Holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Waseda University and graduated from Boston University's Graduate School of Journalism. After working for Kao Corporation, she co-founded Loftwork Inc. in 2000 and served as Representative Director and Chairman until 2022.

She established Q0, Inc. on September 9, 2022, with the aim of creating a new relationship between rural areas and cities. Based in Akita, Toyama, and other regions, Hayashi plans and implements collaborations and projects with local companies and creative leaders.

Hayashi pioneered the adoption of Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) guidelines in the creative industries in Japan, and has penned the book Web Project Management Standards. Hayashi is Japan Liaison to the Director of MIT Media Lab, a member of the Good Design Awards Screening Committee, and a member of the Manufacturing Industry Subcommittee of METI's Industrial Structure Council Committee. She is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hida Forest Bear Dances (a.k.a. Hidakuma), which aims to create local industries through reforestation and manufacturing.
